Attention

If anyone subscribes to this site through a feed reader, like Google Reader, Sage, or Bloglines, drop me a email or comment. I want to test wordpress’s “private” post feature.
One of my biggest pet peeves with password protected blogs, is there’s no more RSS feed, and I actually have to remember to click through and check. I was just wondering if WordPress at least broadcast that there was a post, if not the content.
I have no intention of making the whole thing private, just want to try this out, mostly for un-watermarked pictures of Ducky.
Thanks!

I’ve never been a fan of Fergie. In fact, she scares the bejesus out of me.
BUT!
I love her new song, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”.
it’s time to be a big girl now, and big girls don’t cry
Sunny Days and Rain

Something’s brewing. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve felt this way before, so I know that change is a comin. And I know that ultimately, it will all be for the good. I that the only one who can stop me is me. So maybe, as I finish my 30th year, I will FINALLY learn to get out of my own way.
Here’s hoping.

On being spoiled rotten

I just had $200 worth of groceries lovingly deposited on kitchen floor. And did I mention that we live on the second floor. Oh peapod.com, I love you so.
OK, that was FREE advertising. But if the mood strikes you, Ms. Pod, I can be paid in chocolate ice cream.

Is there anything more boring than hearing someone complain about being sick? Maybe watching paint dry. So I’ll spare you. Until I think of something worthwhile to say, check THIS out.

Dear Ducky,
Thanks for letting me be your Mom. I try my best, I hope you know that. A lot of things are different since last Mother’s Day. We used to stay home together, and now you go to “school” 5 days a week. I miss you all day long, but I know you’re having a great time with your friends and teachers. You must, because every morning when you wake up, you ask if you can go to school.
You continue to amaze your father and me with how smart you are. You are totally speaking in complete sentences now, which blows us away. This from I child whose entire vocabulary consisted of “Da-Da” and “DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”. And you pronounce your name so beautifully now. It took you a while, but you’ve really gotten the hang of it. Clearly since we picked your name, we liked how it sounded, but man, it sounds 100 times better to hear you day it.
You run and jump every chance you get, and you love to draw so much, you even pack markers in your “purse” Once in a blue moon, you actually chew and swallow something voluntarily. I could go on and on, but I’ll end here my precious girl. You mean everything to your father and me. We still don’t know what we’ve done to deserve a great kid like you.
I love you, and no matter what, you’ll always be my Ducky-Duck. Thank you for making this day necessary. I hope someday I can wish you a Happy Mother’s Day, too.
Love,
Mommy

Behold! The 29 year old baby!!
May 11, 2007 · 2 Comments
I wasn’t kidding in my last post where I said that I am a big baby whose eety beety feewings get hurt all the time. After I posted about my father, I considered turning the comments off on that post, because, really, what can anybody say? But I left them on and I obsessively checked for comments (which I pretend not to care about, but i so doooooooooooooooo). And when I didn’t get any, my preshus widdle feewings got hurt. And then I was all wah wah wah, I don’t wanna blog anymore.
BUT!! BUT!! Today I checked my spam comments queue, and there were 2 wonderful comments mistakenly thrown in with the skanky webcam comments. So thanks guys, I would have appreciated the comments anyway, but they were so so so sweet to see today. Best of all, you let me laugh at myself, at what a big baby I really am.

Because I *always* do as I’m told

I have been tagged by Melissa
Here Are The Rules
- Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
- People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
The last two are crossed out because I don’t tag people. Mainly because I have no one to tag. If you want to do this, then I will be happy to backdate a comment. LOL
- I talk too much. I always have. A voice in my head tells me to shut up, SHUT UP already, for crying out loud. But I don’t. Like ever.
- I am easily offended and get my feelings hurt a lot, over the very stupidest things. I’m a big baby.
- I curse a lot. A LOT.
- Although I got my license at 16, I rarely drove again until age 25.
- I am the person my friends come to when they fuck up their finances.
- I am exceptionally calm and efficient in a crisis. I am exceptionally NOT those things most every other time.
- I will kick your ASS in Trivial Pursuit and/or Jeopardy.
- I still have the NYC subway map memorized. Need directions?
