Ok, everybody knows that I love George Clooney. Right?
WELL, The Highlander and I watched O Brother, Where Art Thou? the other night. It’s one of our favorite movies and we’ve watched it 4 frajillion times. (well that and Intolerable Cruelty) At first he was very against watching it and had zero interest. But being the dork that I am (more on that later) I started quoting it all the time. Just because the movie is just that fucking funny. I’d tell him that the salad I made myself for lunch was totally a “third of a gopher”, or I’d say “Oh, George, not the livestock”, or what really hooked him, I think was “I suppose I’d be the acme of foolishness to inquire….” you get the idea. So he caved and popped in the DVD one night when he was working late. I guess all my yammering had intrigued him. He actually woke me up to tell me how much he loved it.
Bringing it back to the other night, we were laying in bed afterwards quoting the movie back and forth to each other, and CRACKING UP.
Him: “as for transportation that is, I don’t know how I’m going to keep my coiffure in order”
Me: “that ain’t your daddy Alvanelle, your daddy was hit my a train”
Him: ” baptism. you boys are just dumber than a bag of hammers”
Me: “is you is, or is you ain’t my constituency”
Hoo doggies, good times.

Haven’t seen O Brother…tried to watch it once and wasn’t a fan.
But weirdest wedding gift ever? A friend gave us the Intolerable Cruelty DVD, a silver bowl, and a berry serving spoon. The instructions in the card? To ignore the fact the movie was about bad relationships and watch the deleted scenes. There is a cut of them repeatedly saying “Every one likes berries” about 20 times. Apparently our friend found that so funny that he came up with that gift. I will say everytime we take out the spoon one of us says “Every one likes berries.”

We love that movie! Can’t quote it like you, but it’s a riot.

My favorite part is where he sings. I would marry him IMMEDIATELY.
