Milestones

Last night, I managed to shampoo my daughter’s hair without traumatizing her. GO ME! I don’t know what it is, she just doesn’t like it. In a similar vein, I have NO IDEA what I did right today. And now that she’s a “big girl” who thinks “baths are for babies”, it get completely misted standing outside the shower trying to wash her.

What is the DEAL with these “possibly related posts” wordpress keeps trying to sell me? Some of them aren’t even YOURS!

Anyway, I look forward to the shower transition. Seems that they would accidentally cleanse themselves, even if left alone, without having to pour water over their heads.

I know the misting well. But it only took a few times of Laura stepping out of the shower with hair that would instantly suds up, and sending her back in to re-rinse, before she could do it herself. And. Party. I can read blogs while she showers.

Pouring water over her head is no issue. Drying her hair with a towel??? Now that is cause for a meltdown. And we won’t even get into the toothbrushing scene.
